| Description |
The house is an old building (XV-XVI century.) in the main (small) street of the little medieval village of Mazzano Romano.
The current arrangement of the rooms (that can be easily changed because you can change the entrance) is:
On the ground floor, at the main entrance there are:
- a dining room with a large cooking area and a fireplace;
- a sitting room, with a little cave and a spiral staircase.
On the upper floor there are:
- a second sitting room with a fire place (and a third entrance, at present closed);
- a large bedroom with wood floor;
- a bathroom;
- a studio with the second entrance.
From the first sitting room a stair ( a little steep, like on ferry, but that it is easily possible to make it smoother) goes to the basement floor where there are:
- a guests room (that we use like a little b&b);
- a bathroom with shower;
- the large panoramic terrace front of the river Treja valley (a natural park).
From the terrace there is the entrance to a second studio and to the large cave-cellar (that can be make habitable).
All the rooms look the valley except the bathrooms (the main looks the village alley)
and the upper floor studio.
The house has been completely restored ten years ago. It is perfect.
The measure are: about 170 mq the house, about 45 mq the terrace and about 45 mq the caves.
All legal papers are regular!
The medieval village is a pedestrian island, but you can go by car just at 50 m from the house and there is also a park about 150m. Near these parking there is a market shop, a bar and a fruit shop.
At the new village, 7-800 m, there are all services: post office, bank, pharmacy….
Rome is at about 35 km. From Mazzano there is a bus service and at 17 km, at Cesano, there is a metro that arrives also to Rome-St Peter in about 40 mn.
At present the village is under repair: the new paving, the wiring… then it will be enclosed in “The most beautiful village of Italy” list.
